Uses and Applications

Low MW Nylon MXD6 is a semi-crystalline polymer derived from the polycondensation of m-xylylene diamine (MXDA) and adipic acid. Its attributes include high temperature stability, inflammability and high chemical resistance, and it can be made into a fiber with excellent textile and tactile performance.

It is used as a replacement for asbestos, in fire-blocking applications, thermal-protective clothing and numerous other high-temperature and chemical-resistant applications.
