International Specialty Products and Polymer Chemistry Innovations (PCI) Announce Alliance for Aquazol® in Industrial Markets

Wayne, NJ - April 17, 2003 - International Specialty Products (ISP) and Polymer Chemistry Innovations (PCI) Tucson, AZ today formed an alliance to manufacture, market and distribute Aquazol® polymers for use in industrial markets such as Digital Printing and Imaging (DPI), Adhesives, Oil and Gas, Metal Treatment, Ceramic Binding and Household, Institutional and Industrial (HI&I).

Effective April 1, 2003, PCI is the exclusive, worldwide supplier of Aquazol® to ISP, while ISP has exclusive, worldwide rights to market, sell and distribute these products to the above mentioned markets.

This strategic alliance brings together the manufacturing expertise of PCI, while leveraging the global ISP network of sales and marketing professionals. For years, ISP's Performance Chemicals business has been promoting PVP into these markets as first generation polymers. In addition to ISP's ViviPrintTM product development in Digital Printing and Imaging, the addition of Aquazol® will add to the development of second generation products for this market. The scope of this alliance is to extend product line portfolio to ISP's industrial customers, and to optimize the global sales/technical service network and the supply chain for the covered markets.

Varin, Global Marketing Director for Coatings and Adhesives. “ISP can now offer a broader range of technologies to various customers who formulate inkjet receptive coatings, hot melt and pressure sensitive adhesives, metal treatment applications, or ceramic binding applications”.

According to Troy Justesen, PCI's Sales and Marketing Director, “Aquazol® polymers’ superb water solubility and thermal stability make it an excellent candidate for use in new and existing chemistries requiring water-soluble polymers in numerous industrial applications.
