Map/Directions

Our Tucson facility specializes in world-class R&D services including process development, custom polymer synthesis, product commercialization and small to medium-scale production. Our technical staff have extensive knowledge of difficult polymerizations and are ready to help to commercialize your new or revised products. Whether you require a proof-of-concept study, a complete process development program or a manufacturing partner, Polymer Chemistry Innovations is prepared to work with you to meet your goals.

In addition, we understand that the solutions and services we provide must be commercially viable - and we work closely with our customers to achieve realistic final product costs that are realistic within their end-use market's economics.

Equipment & Capabilities

Polymerizations
A series of small stainless steel reactors are used for scale-up, producing from 2 to 45 gallons of material, carried out in our 6-gallon or 50-gallon reactors. Small-scale production is carried our in our
50-gallon, 175-gallon and 430-gallon stainless steel reactors. All of our reactors are equipped for high-viscosity bulk polymerizations and run under an inert atmosphere of nitrogen.

Reaction/Distillation Pilot Plant
Two packed distillation columns of 6-inch diameter with up to 100 HETP perform continuous, batch or semi-continuous distillations. The facility is also equipped with one 35-gallon SS316 reactor rated for 160°C at FV/45 psi internal and 160°C at 125 psi jacket.

Production Scale
PCI has various stainless steel reactors and related processing equipment dedicated to specific customer requirements, and the ability to rapidly place additional equipment on-line for new projects.
